Jeff Buckley

I really like Jeff Buckley, but I have a hard time finding anyone else who's ever even heard of him. I'm hoping to find some other fans. So here it goes...

That VOICE! It's just so beautiful and expressive and just fabulous. He was a crazy talented guy. I have heard that his father had a 5 octave range (Oh my gosh!), so that's where he gets it from I guess. I'm not familar with his work, but I think it was like folk stuff.

Another thing I love is that while his original songs are great, he sings the covers like the words came straight from his heart.

Totally agree, he had an amazing voice. I love Grace. Someone who can do the Corpus Christi Carol AND a cover of Hallejulah better than the original AND original songs like Last Goodbye, all on one album, has a very special talent.

Has blown himself to pieces. Still the sea,
Consolingly disastrous, will return
While the strange starfish, hugely magnified,
Waits in the jewelled basin of a pool.

I like him too. My life for the last few years has consisted of nothing much more then my learning, forgetting, then relearning how to play Hallelujah on guitar.

I think his slight speech impediment makes his singing even more beautiful, don't you agree?
