It's ironic that you say that the meaning of life is to praise god and I look at your post count and it's my favorite number - 666

The purpose of all life is to replicate and spread their DNA

Well life is whatever you do with it. Find a good meaning with your life because every life is unique and not every person's life can have the same meaning.
If God created us for the sole purpose to praise him, then that just sucks! Don't live your life for a deity, live for others and for yourself!

the meaning of life is a number of things
self-fulfillment
happiness
spreading joy to others
tolerance (incl. religious tolerance )
and for at least 50% of the population - sustained population growth (makin babies)

Q: What is the chief end of man?

A: The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him eternally!

Really !

Why are we here? What's life all about?
Is God really real, or is there some doubt?
Well, tonight, we're going to sort it all out,
For, tonight, it's 'The Meaning of Life'.

What's the point of all this hoax?
Is it the chicken and the egg time? Are we just yolks?
Or, perhaps, we're just one of God's little jokes.
Well, ça c'est le 'Meaning of Life'.

Is life just a game where we make up the rules
While we're searching for something to say,
Or are we just simply spiralling coils
Of self-replicating DNA. Nay, nay, nay, nay, nay, nay.

In this 'life', what is our fate?
Is there Heaven and Hell? Do we reincarnate?
Is mankind evolving, or is it too late?
Well, tonight, here's 'The Meaning of Life'.

For millions, this 'life' is a sad vale of tears,
Sitting 'round with rien nothing to say
While the scientists say we're just simply spiralling coils
Of self-replicating DNA. Nay, nay, nay, nay, nay, nay.

So, just why-- why are we here,
And just what-- what-- what-- what do we fear?
Well, ce soir, for a change, it will all be made clear,
For this is 'The Meaning of Life'. C'est le sens de la vie.
This is 'The Meaning of Life'.

I read...

I saw this in an editorial article by a Christian guy in the Philly newspaper. The author was asked why we are here on earth, and he replied with something like "we shouldn't even be thinking about why we are here, or personally about ourselves. Rather, we should concentrate on ..." um serving others? It might have been...I'm not sure at this point!

What is six times seven? Wait... no... too literal. We need something slightly more philosophical... How many roads must a man walk down? That's it, that's what we're looking for.

But really, this is the case! We're here to replicate and make sure our DNA will continue to exist for several milenniums..

Yup! Which is why we have to come up with another, secondary reason to exist, because just passing along DNA to future generation sounds so boooring!

If the purpose of all life was to repeat we'd be simpler.
