Battles in Middle Earth

Has anyone got the Games Workshop "Battles in Middle Earth" game? I want to know how similar it is to War Hammer, and if (in your opinion) it's any good or worth buying.

i didn't know which forum this thread belonged in, so mods feel free to move it if you deem another forum (RPG? Middle-Earth?)more suitable.

Sounds like a strategy board game. Do GW still make stuff? I thought it was all Warhammer they did.

Well, I guess it is Warhammer, just staged in Middle Earth. I'm not really into miniature roleplaying, so I guess I'll resist and not be sucked in to buying all the LOTR merchandise.

There's actually a Games Workshop store in my local shopping centre (ie. a "mall" for the Americans

) and recently I went in to ask if they had polyhedral die sets, and they were so snooty!

"We don't stock 20ds - we only use 6ds for Warhammer!" *wank wank pontificate*

*edit* by the way, I think GW also does Magic: The Gathering, but I'm not entirely sure. I'm not really into CCG or TCG roleplaying either.
