Britsh Academy of Film and Television Arts. ROTK won 5 awards: Adapted screenplay, Visual Effects, Cinematography, Audience award, Best film.

Us Brits will try to convince ourselves that these awards have some sort of relevance outside of the UK.

Yey, too true.

I don't know why we still call them the 'BAFTA's' though. It's not like many British films won any awards. Only a couple did.

Well, you do have the awards that specifically recognise British talent - like Outstanding Contribution to British Film, that sort of thing.

Yeah, it's just you get the feeling that 'over-seas' productions are taking over.

Ye know im suprised some of the big names even turned up like PJ and Johnny Depp etc, there usually have all the C-Grade celebs at this sort of thing. Its trying to be just as big as the oscor's when its really not..

Unfortunately PJ lost Best Director to Peter Weir.

I wouldn't be too worried about that category for Oscar, though, since PJ and FoTR both won at BAFTA two years ago.
