Mouth of Sauron! Must See!

This is the first time I have seen anything showing The Mouth of Sauron, its a polystone bust from sideshow weta! It looks pretty good... What you all think!?

No wonder they took it out of the theatrical release!! Isn't it interesting how the only part of the "person" that is showing is the mouth?

it's not how i pictured it, i saw it as more of john howes illistration(the guy with the skull face on the horse) It looks okay and it's cool to see TMoS before the extended edition comes out at least.

Erm... different. Not exactally what I had expected.... but I guess it's kinda cool.

Got to agree with Halbarad here. Somehow it just isn't scary enough for me. I'm not suggesting this chap is going to win any beauty contests, but as the living embodiment of all evil he could have been a bit less like your standard Cruella de Ville / Ice Queen with spiky helmet. Hopefully the foul speech will add to the mood when we get to see it. I'm just delighted that the Mouth of Sauron is included in the EE - do we think that the order of RotK will get juggled around to create added suspense as in the book? I must admit that this was one of my biggest disappointments in RotK
(nowhere near as bad as the missing lembas / crumbs rubbish with Sam and Gollum on the steps)

I thought that scene was so good, Sean Astin's acting is increadable in that scene...he's so sad

Imagine if you were on a journey for months on end and then the one person your trying to protect and the one person that loves you like a brother tells you to go home. The frustration would be so unbearable that I know I would break down in tears if I were him....especially when youve got gollum the antagonist.Awesome scene.

Anyway I like what they did with the Mouth of Sauron but I still wish he had the skull with flaming eyes like in the book.

I think He looks awesome. He looks kind of like the phantom of the opera. All that stretched bone like skin with the lips looked so cracked. The Helmet is awesome. I think he looks totally wicked. Also he is a bust and the real one will probably look a lot more like what the rest of you exspected.

i agree with the people saying he dosn't look scary enough, cause this guy is the 1st lieutenant of the black tower, isn't he? and i believe they cut his scene along with the battle with the cheif's men. those scenes are supposed to be in the extended version, which is coming out around christmas.

The man behind all that nasty make-up is Bruce Spence, for those who don't recognize the name, he was the guy who played "The Trainman" in The Matrix: Revolutions. Gives you and idea on his height and weight. I also remember seeing an action figure set with TMoS, it was a Black Gate set with Aragorn, TMoS, Gandalf, Eomer, and Peregrin Took. If i find that picrture I will post it so you can see a bit more of the whole Mouth of Sauron.

I dont know. He has sucha cool face. And the way he just looks unnatural make him look so wickedly evil. Its just so awesome!

i pictured him more 'normal' than that, maybe a visible nazgul type being, big black cloak, maybe a sword i don't know, a crown of sorts perhaps, but not hidden away behind a mask
