Syriana. I was so tired I fell asleep half-way through it. I didn't care much to see the ending, either, especially when I found out they killed off Alexander Siddig.

Sleepy Hollow Creepy and funny at the same time. the the parts I laughed at involved Johnny Depp fainting or look as if he was going to upchuck.

The Grudge. I liked it, but am keen on getting hold of the japanese original. Plus, watching me deer ole Buffy gettin' haunted is kinda getting old. She's a sweet gal, but maybe someone else would have been better for the film.

The Best Years of Our Lives. Delightful old film about three soldiers trying to adjust after WWII. Loved it.

I didn't like The Forgotten much. The ending was too dumb. But I will always take my hat off to that magnificently done T-bone; when they're driving along and suddenly WHAM that car crashes into them. It's so amazing because you see it coming, and it still flips you out. Again, I take my hat off to the makers of the moment. Brilliant.

Those were my exact feelings while watching it! Another moment that got me jumping in my seat was when that detective woman was saying to Telly (telling Telly ) that she believed her, and out of nowhere she gets blown off into space: freaky.

Yeah, that made me jump. And it is weird because it's such a dumb stunt, really (what, she gets sucked up into the sky? Like an invisible vaccuum-cleaner?), and yet instead of making you smirk or laugh, you get creeped out.
The two things that really, really, creeped me out were that weird contortion of the bad guy's face near the end; and when the police officer is shooting him and nothing happens. That was so creepy!

Today I watched Kitano "Beat" Takeshi's movie "Hanabi" ("Fireworks"). Personally I really liked it but I can see how it wouldn't be for everyone. It's reeeeally slow moving and not a lot of action, and also it's kinda depressing. But if you're willing to sit down and watch and pay attention I thought it was pretty decent. There were some scenes that I don't know if they were supposed to be funny, but just hit me in a spot I didn't even know existed in my sense of humour and made me laugh. If you didn't know, it's a Japanese ganster movie about this cop who kinda starts going over the edge when his friend is shot, and his wife is sick. I really liked the side story about the friend and his painting hobby too.

Watched Miami Vice yesterday. To say that it bored me, would be giving it credit! The action was very slow and the storyline not interesting. Guys, do yourselves a favor and don't watch this movie.
