Oscars for TPM

This Sunday, TPM is up for 3 Oscars. Sadly, all are boring tech stuff (visual effects, sound effects, and some other sound effects thing). Those Hollywood snobs passed up the film for best picture, and for its masterful performances . It might not even win those three because of competition from The Matrix, but I'm sure TPM will get at least one. Predictions? I think it's most likely to pick up the Visual Effects award... just look at the incredible scenes.

I hope that either Episode II or III will meet the critics' tastes enough to qualify for some real Oscars...

Real Oscars? There is nothing real about an Oscar. In fact, I can't think of anything more phoney than the Academy Awards! :P

I thought it was a bit suprising TPM didn´t get nominated for best costume.

Still, I don´t that care that much about Oscars and other forms of awards in the entertainment industry. I guess I just agree with anduin.

I agree! I don't follow nominations......who is up for best costumes? (I can't believe i don't know )

tpm was robbed of best makeup and best costume. it really deserved those more than the tech ones.

The only one left is Visual Effects...

Grr... SW was snubbed! The Matrix got all three!

Well, Matrix was an awsome movie and really deserved the two sound related awards, but they didn't deserve visual effects. Sure, Matrix used a lot of visual effects and it turned out to be an amazing movie, but about 75% of Star Wars was completely CGI!(rough estimate) They deserved it much more than the Matrix did.
