*chuckle* Here'd be one. Feanor's gotta be the most super-human and yet the most human of any character in ME. To be the greatest of the Eldar and yet be so flawed... Reminds me of David from the Bible who, despite his inadequacies was "a man after God's own heart"

I think people tend to judge him only for his later deeds, and forget the earlier story. Anyway, either you like him or not, I think we may agree that he is perhaps the most interesting character in ME.

When he burnt those swan ships and just abandoned the rest of his followers like that, oh man, that was so very sad. I bet he really regretted having done that, later on down the line when he had a minute to think about what he'd done, but there's no WAY he'd ever apologise or admit wrongdoing, NO WAY - that would have been completely out of character; Feanor does NOT say he's "sorry." Which is one of the little things I admire and love about him, but I digress...

Can you imagine being acknowledged as the greatest of your race? What a standard to live up to. I have trouble just living up to what people expect of me, which is little enough in comparison.

I meant like the burning of the ships and the kinslaying, the oath, and anything that caused so much suffering for everyone. I don`t wish for that suffering, yet I can`t help but admire him for his strength, defiance, pride, etc. See? And it makes for a better story, but that`s really beside the point.
