My favorite thing is glazing! Color! The glazing process is weird cause you won't know what it will really look like till after it's fired. All the different glazes are so neat, the speckled one...oooh! I prefer the shiny ones to the matte, I love to paint them on so that they blend together in interesting drizzles. I guess what is so exciting, is it can turn out even better than you expect!! (or worse ) I prefer the wheel, I always come up blank in the sculpture department.

Oh my goodness. I love making pottery but I'm so bad at it ; go figure! Anyways, yeah, pottery is great, in art at school we always get to make bowls and stuff.

Before we became D.J.'s and finally teachers, my husband and I had studio pottery business for a couple of years. He threw the pots and I handled most of the glazing. There is nothing quite as suspenseful as pulling open a kiln after a stoneware firing.
