The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

I just finished The HItchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy . Four more to go.
I really liked it! It was so irrelevent it was extremely funny! I will never trust mice again and I am on the forever look our for a drink the is mostly, but not entirely, unlike tea!! That was really funny! I loved the Improbability Drive and all the improbable (sp) things that it caused!! The only thing I didn't like was the few curse words...

I read that book a few months ago; it's hilarious! I read the next two sequels, which are also good, but I haven't read the other two books in the series. It's so weird that the weirdness is funny.

If you can, try to get hold of the original radio show tapes. IMO they are many times funnier than the books (and that's saying something! I love the books too!) They are just beyond funny. I have them, but they are so old that their voices have gone all low and strange it's not worth listening any more I will try to get hold of the CDs if I can find them anywhere...

I know there are so many repetitive threads these days, but please at least attempt to first find out if the topic you want to post about has already been posted.... This would go in the Sci Fi/Fantasy Novel forum also.... .

REPETITIVE THREAD
WRONG FORUM

warrents a closing, sorry. If you want to continue discussing this (which I suggest you do, good books to discuss.. I did enjoy them. First two were great....third was painful to read...fourth is weird so far.. but right now I have stopped on that and am reading Dirk Gently's - also by him), you will have to find the topic discussing this previous. Use the search feature at the top of the board...not so hard is it?

Why'd ya close this? Someone's being a bit strict. Anyway, I'm opening this back up.

I intend on reading this series once I finish LOTR. I've heard some good things about it.

Very amusing books. Is it just me, or do they get a bit bitter at the end?
