If you lived under water, maybe.

The Japanese days of the week correspond to western ones.

Starting at Sunday, the days are named "[element]-day", with these elements : sun, moon, fire, water, wood, gold, earth. If you take those same elements and use them to name planets (and other celestial objects), you get these planets in order: sun, moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn. It's easy to see in the Spanish days of the week: Domingo, Lunes, Martes, Miercoles, Jueves, Viernes, Sabado. It fits some with English too I think (obviously moon-day and sun-day), if you compare it to Norse gods, but I'm not sure if they all match. For example Thursday/Thor is comparable to Zeus (Jupiter/Jove).
