Lord of the Rings NY Times Book Reviews

Today I stumbled across an interesting feature on the NY Times website. In connection with the release of the Lord of the Rings movie they have posted the review of the book "The Fellowship of the Ring" as it originally ran in the paper on October 31, 1954. The review was written by noted poet W.H. Auden (which makes it even more interesting).

The link is set forth below. This page also has links to the original reviews of the rest of the trilogy, as well as "The Hobbit."

In order to access the page, you may first have to register with the NY Times site (it is free and otherwise worthwhile). Enjoy!
