Other than Gandalf it's got to be Beorn. He's a cool creature thing and I like how he took it when he was fooled into entertaining 14 people.

My favourite of the dwarves is Balin. He was nice toward Bilbo, and together with Gandalf, he even visited the hobbit at the end of the book. That was a nice gesture.

Of all the Dwarves I liked Balin the best. He was the first to realize Bilbo's importance I think. I also thought Bard was very noble and a strong leader in a pinch.
