TOP TEN Movies 2005

Ok, that other topic wasn't much of a success :P
But now, at the end of the year, post your TOP TEN movies of the year.

I have viewed 25 movies as of right now, if I counted them correctly (I'm trying to be a film fanatic).

I will probably see Munich before the weeks end, and I'm sure that will make my list. I also wanted to see The Constant Gardener and Wedding Crashers, and some more, but didn't get a chance. No interest in Narnia.

Best to worst
1. Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
2. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
3. Serenity
4. King Kong
5. The 40 Year-Old Virgin
6. Batman Begins
7. Crash
8. Sin City
9. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
10.Walk the Line

Runners up:
Pride and Prejudice
Kung Fu Hustle
War of the Worlds

Top Ten really hard to order, as they are really all good movies.

i may edit this more before the end of the year.
My complete list of 2005 movies best to worst (that I have seen) is in my other topic.

Post your top tens

This is tough, to reall think hard & go from best 2 worst, and only pick ten, but here goes:

1. Kingdom Of Heaven
2. Crash
3. Sin City
4. The Interpreter
5. March Of The Penguins
6. Syriana
7. ?
8. Lords Of Dogtown
9. The Hitchiker's Guide To The Galaxy
10. ?

I've seen way more than these only, of course, but I hesitate to put most of them on a "best Ten" list because they may have been oK., or even nicely entertaining, but not what I'd consider "best." I'll keep thinking, & add more later... * goes off to think*

PLUS, there's some great ones out or coming out that I haven't had a chance to see yet - King Kong and The Constant Gardener are two that come to mind. And Match Point, but I think that may not come out 'til after the year is over, I'm not sure... Plus I still haven't seen the new Harry Potter flick. I didn't care enough about the new Narnia flick to place it in the top ten. And that Sith movie gave me a gargantuan migraine headache when I saw it in the theatre a while back, so that definitely stays OUT of the top ten.

i only saw four "new" movies this year, but i liked 'em all

Revenge of the Sith (the best of the new ones)
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (still like the BBC series better, but this was good)
Spongebob (stupid, but hilarious)
Narnia (pretty good)

I forgot Spongebob!! Yes, that WAS a very fun "stupid-funny" movie. 'Course, I'm quite partial to Spongebob. Love that sponge!

Layer Cake was a good movie - it was never released theatrically in the USA though - so I am not personally countinng it. Released on DVD here in 2005. Theatrical 2004 in UK???

Haha, I just remembered 3 more movies I saw that aren't on my list.

O.K., I'll take it out. I'll insert something else instead, not sure what yet, though. I can't wait to see Woody Allen's new "Match Point" but it hasn't opened yet.
