Does Fëanor himself appear in one of the movies, or something?

So I found this picture on the Internet a while ago:

http://estelclub.allelves.ru/art/pics/img/curufinwe.jpg

Obviously it is supposed to resemble "Curufinwë", i.e. Fëanor, and he does indeed resemble Fëanor the way I've always imagined him: noble and beautiful, yet dark and proud.
Anyway, does this guy actually appear in one of the movies?
He does seem rather styled up.

Dear god, I hope not...

And anyway, what in heaven's name would Fëanor be doing in a LotR movie when he died thousands of years before the earliest flashback????

Looks like just a pic of fan art. Not anything official from any film.

It's quite obviously a photoshop. He's sitting on a normal, human chair, which was just blurred a bit.

Well, if the Elves can show up at Helm's Deep, why can't Feanor?

Sorry, Curufin, I just couldn't resist.

BECAUSE HE'S DEAD! BECAUSE PJ CAN'T TOUCH HIM! BECAUSE I WOULD HAVE A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN!

How's that?

As Gimli put it in the movie [I'm paraphrasing now], "Bad idea, Aragorn, letting those oathbreakers go free, they're pretty effective considering they're dead."

And anyway, Fëanor is sitting in Mandos until he stops being stubborn.

Which will be...

...never.

Right on. That's almost a better reason than "because he's dead".

Believe me, nobody wants to be around if PJ makes a movie of The Silmarillion and I happen to have internet access.

You bet he is.

None of the wise should call upon themselves the Wrath of Curu.

Well, there is that.

Perhaps he shall simply have to suffer the Wrath of Curu.

I'll scream! I'll shout! I'll...er...not buy the extended edition DVD...

If you don't, someone will helpfully give it to you, as you well know.

I'm sure they would. You should see all the LotR stuff my family has bought me. Some of it is actually quite nice, like my Vilya, or my Rohan and Elven brooches. Some of it...well...I'm nice.

And anyway, I need the DVD's if I'm going to be able to criticize them properly.

Anyone who tries to make "a" Silmarillion movie is as dumb as Thingol, and we all know just how dumb that guy was.

There are maybe a dozen movies packed into that little book.

Here is one possible way to cover the Silmarillion in 13 movies.

Movie one covers the beginning through the arrival of the Elves in Aman.
Movie two goes through the darkening of Valinor.
Movie three - Flight of the Noldor through the rising of the Moon.
Movie four - Rising of the moon to beginning of the long peace.
Movie five - The coming of men, story of Maeglin, Hurin/Huor to Gondolin on Eagles
Movie six - Dagor Bragollach, The Fall of Fingolfin, Barahir's group destroyed/Beren survives
Movie seven - Beren & Luthien
Movie eight - Unnumbered Tears
Movie nine - Turin Turambar
Movie ten - Tuor and the fall of Gondolin
Movie eleven - The ruin of Doriath
Movie twelve - Voyage of Earendil and the War of Wrath
Movie thirteen - Akallabeth
