9 Firefighters Presumed Dead after Helicopter Crash.
Thankfully, my brother wasn't one of them. But this really hits home, because my brother had been on THIS fire, working THIS shift, two nights ago, when he was sent home because he'd done too much overtime. It could easily have been my brother. Let's have a moment of silence for these often-overlooked heroes.

I live alongside a railway and someone jumped off the bridge a few hundred meters away.
 What makes it worse though, is that there is someone I grew up with who is suicidal and now we don't know who the jumper was. Please keep us in your thoughts and/or prayers.

We got some news: it very likely wasn't the boy I grew up with who jumped.
That is a relief, but I feel for the family of whoever it was who did jump. And I'm having a bit of a problem getting over the fact that it happened practically in front of our house. We could see them do the cleaning up...

I need to ask for prayer for my brother. My grips from the past week pale extremely in the face of this.
My brother has been diagnosed with Lymphoma. He's slated to start chemo soon. Please keep him in your prayers.

I'd like to ask you to keep in your thoughts a little boy of 6 called Justin who was hit by a car last Sunday. Scans revealed blood in his brains and everything is very uncertain now (i.e. if he will live and if he will, how he will be).
