fav character death scenes

This is where we mourn our fav movie characters who die in the movies.

top 4 for me...

Adam Goldberg's death in saving private ryan really takes the cake.

Ghandi's death in Ghandi

Ralph Fiennes death in Schindler's List (I know he's a bad guy, but still....)

mel's death scene in Braveheart

waaaaaaaaa!!!!!! I cant take it anymore!! *starts crying*

Braveheart??!?! Well, I don't quite like that movie a whole lot..

Umm... (not in any order)

Simon Birch - Simon Birch

Maximus Meridius Decimus - Gladiatior

Gabriel Martin, and Thomas Martin - Patriot

Boromir - LotR: FotR

Beth March - Little Women

Neo - Matrix (Love that scene when he runs into the room and then Smith just kinda grins, and you see the shell fall on the floor.)

I've got a few more, I'm sure- just can't think of 'em at the moment.

P.S. Totally out of context: I was just sitting here thinking and I was staring at this book, and then I realized it said 'Middle Earth'. And then I woke from my reverie and realized it said 'Midlife Health'. LOL!

Gabriele Tinti---Flight of the Phoenix (French guy trying to get home to see his (dying?) wife in France

Obi-won-Kinobe---Star Wars (although he sort of hung around for a couple of more movies

Kirk Douglas (Einar)---The Vikings (Well, they did give him a funeral fit for a viking)

(John Mills?) British officer commanding the section of Peter O'Toole's army that was annihilated---Zulu Dawn

And one hopes PJ won't botch Theoden's end in ROTK.

I forgot the most horrible one!

Oh! I forgot her name! The girl. The Bjork girl in Dancer in the Dark. That part is sooooo sad.

To be perfectly honest, I laughed. Rose says "I'll never let go Jack" moments before she lets go. It just struck me funny. Granted, it might have been a bit sad if I would have actually watched the entire movie...

By that time I was distracted with worry about what happened to the iceberg

The Leon character in 'Leon' was sad. Still, I loved how the last thing he does is hand something to the Gary Oldman character and it's a grenade pin. KABOOM!

Billy's death in Predator

William DaFoe in Platoon

I guess thats it.

By the way, these are my favorite death scenes, not the ones that get me all sad inside.
