The 5 Unnamed Rings are Found!

Posted by Will Whitfoot on Minas Tirith:

Yes, the elusive "five golden rings" of Yuletide fame have now been revealed to exist in middle earth, untouched by the Dark Lord. Long now have we known of the rings of power, the ring-lore formerly known only to wizards and elf-lords. But now it has been revealed the existence of The Five!
Three for the elven kings... yes
Seven for the dwarf lords... yes, yes
Nine for mortal men... yes
One for the Dark Lord... yes of course.

But what is missing from this tale of rings?
The FIVE of course!

It has recently been learned that the elven smiths made five other magical rings early in the days of the forging of the rings, before Sauron was knew of their craft. The elves made the five rings as toys and playthings. They found the forefathers of the Hobbit children wandering about the fields and forests of the Gladden fields and the Minhiriath and gave them these rings for their own amusement. Little has been discovered of them until just recently, as they have been passed down in Hobbit families secretly for ages. They have no great powers of knowledge or control, neither do they give long life. But to Hobbit sensibilities they are useful indeed.

They are:

The ring of Mirth
The ring of Revelry
The ring of Satiety
The ring of Congeniality
The ring of Helpfulness

The current whereabouts of the rings are unknown, but it is said that Will Whitfoot himself was long in posesssion of the ring of Revelry, and was ever in the mood to party "like it's 1399". Samwise Gamgee is thought by many to have held the ring of Helpfulness for many years in secret, but who he gave it to before he passed over the sea is not known.

Any rumors, founded or unfounded, as to the current location of the rings should be posted here on this thread. Delay not my friends, this is vitally important!

Re: The 5 Unnamed Rings are Found!

I heard Bombadil had the ring of Mirth (adventuresome Hobbit went into the Olf Forest and ran out, dropping the ring) but he forgot he had it and now no one knows where it's got to.... unless some one here has some idea....
