Eowyn, Filli and Killi level 2
Hobbit Sherrifs level 1 ( I think they were called sherrifs)

I want to add that there is some leeway in the levels.

Aragorn is better than Eomer, but they have the same ranking.

Sort of like in sports. You can have several members on the Olympic squad, but they will not all be equal.

i think in the battle of bywater pippin showed at least profesinal compancy!sorry but gandalf is allways gonna be a 6 he was the daddy!

I didn't give Gandalf all the points because he is a Wizard and no warrior. But he is really close to the 6, especially after his return. I guess I would give 6 points to someone who can face Sauron alone.

I would think all of the elves of the noble bloodlines would at least be a high level 5, if not 6.

I think the hobbits deserve less than level 2, because they had just a basic training. (they deserved 0 before they met Aragorn and arrivesd to Rivendell).

I concur with Rad the Brown. I think several people here have greatly OVER estimated the characters here.

Just because people are heroes does not mean that they are equal with other heroes.

Hurin and Fingolfin were the greatest warriors to walk ME.
Fin against Morgoth and Hurin's last stand against 70 trolls are feats in arms unmatched. In The Sil itself it says that Hurin was the greatest MORTAL warrior ever to live. They are the best of the best.

The only others I would even consider here would be Feanor, Maedhros, and Dior.

It took a few Balrogs to slay Feanor, Maedhros was considered Feanor's greatest son in arms, and Dior killed THREE sons of Feanor in a 3 on 1 battle.


I think to list Aragorn here is not appropriate. He would not fair well against the level sixers.

Other analogies

Conan, Wayne Gretzky, Bobby Orr, Michael Jordon, Yoda, Captain Kirk, Einstein, Shakespeare, Pele, Lee Mu Bai (From Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon) , The Emperor Alexander the Great and Genghis Khan, Neo from the Matrix and for evil Hitler. These stand above the rest throughout all history. Thus, legendary. These would be Supra-genius'

Glorfindel and Turin 5

To expand my level 5
I would add Beren, Ecthelion, Azhagal, Gil galad, Elendil, Beleg and perhaps Mablung. These guys slew, Balrogs, stood against Sauron, and Dragons.

Here I might add Aragorn, Elrond, Cirdan, Anarion ( one of my favorites for holding Sauron at bay for 5 years when Sauron attacked Gondor with the ring )and Isildur.

Other analogies
Mace Windu, Ray Bourque, Guy Lafluer, Captain Picard, Darth Vader, Tamerlane, Boba Fett, Morpheus from the Matrix. Maybe David Beckham, Jesse Owens and Sir Lancelot.
For Evil the Lord of the Nazgul.

These would the the genius' of the world. The ONLY ones to be better than these would be the supra-genius. They would be the best of their generation. There fame would be known world wide.

Level 4
Eomer, Boromir, Dain, Faramir, and Imrahil.

Other analogies
Maximus from Gladiator, Captain Sisko, Wedge Antillies, Trinity from the Matrix,

In non military maybe your basic cop.

Untrained. Relies of nautral abilities.

I dont know why people underrank Aragorn but I do think that he is great warrior, he also became a great king of men- so i do believe that he deserves a 5.
