According to most interviews, JKR has confirmed that. And there's also a hint about that in the end of GoF, when Dumbledore tells Sirius to fiund the "old crowd". I certainly hope you're right!

I quite like Lupin myself, I get the feeling theres gonna be some tragic storyline with him now all his best friends are either dead or turned into death eaters. We'll have to wait 'n see....

I adore Lupin. I disagree with the way JKR wrote werewolves in general, but Lupin as a person I cannot help but love. If I were in his class that would make me even happier. (I don't care what he's teaching...I just wanna have him as a teacher.

I have the feeling that Sirius isn't gone, just dead. There was some comment that Luna Lovegood made to Harry about the veil that made me think that.

And I love Lupin. I want more Lupin.

And I wonder if Lupin will sort of (it could only be a sort of) take over the guardian figure for Harry now that Sirius is gone *sniff*

I dig Lupin mucho. I think that it's just his manner. The way that he is (sort of) tragic, but doesn't expect people to think of him as such. I can't wait to see how he turns out in the movies and the upcoming books. David Thewlis had better do a good job. Mad-Eye is another that I'm looking forward to.

Tanoliel: I think that you may be right, since Lupin already sort of was. Yeah.

Lupin's just an amazingly cool person. Yes. I love that man.

And Sirius is still a favorite even now...though I don't like how JK made him so narky in the fifth book. I loved him in book 3 and 4...

I like Lupin. What strikes me about him is that he's got that quiet dignity thing going. He may be a werewolf and have trouble in his life because of it but he keeps going and he doesn't seem bitter about it. He's a great teacher also and when I read his scenes in Prisoner of Azkaban, I wanted to be in his class it was interesting and exciting. He's written as the best type of teacher who inspire their students to want to learn.

I've just finished reading book 5, and I love Lupin even more! All his moments were great.

I liked that he was shown as a caring person, like when he comforted Molly.
I'm worried about him now that Sirius is dead, though. IHe's going to be lonely again... And I'm afraid he's going to be the next one to go.

Hey, maybe Sirus isn't dead anyway. Like at the end of FotR. Frodo and Sam leave and we have no idea that Borimir dies until TTT. Or Sirus could come back as a ghost. Hah! Slightly Seethrough Sirus!

I am possitivley obsessed with Lupin. I mean I can't even tell you the half of my day dreams about him every day. I am a hopeless case.

I loved how Lupin comforted Molly and that werewolf guy on christmas when no one else came to see him. He is soooo sweet. if he dies next I am going to cry. Literely.

Lupin is definitely one of my favorite characters... and i think i know the picture you mentioned Lollypopgurl. If you're thinking along the lines of "that's now how i envisioned lupin to look" i totally agree.
