OK, to get this thread back on some semblance of topicness.

I just say an old interview with some of the cast of LotR (obviously repeated) on MTV.

On it were:

Frodo
Sam
Merry
Pippin
Legolas
Arwen

OK, now for the part you won't like:

ELIJAH REALLY IS A FREAK!!!

I've NEVER seen him look as stupid, ugly or spaced out as I have on here. He really did look like he was high on drugs. Those eyes were not cute, they were scarey. His haircut was just plain dorky, and he was wearing what looked like a cardigan. Lovely

Anyway, that wasn't my main reason, cos I've decided (despite what I said at the top of this post) to open it up a bit.

Arwen.

More specifically: Liv Tyler

Even more specifically: She's one ugly dog.

Ye GADS!

<RANT>

Now it's not that I inherently dislike her, other than as Arwen being given a bit of Glorfindel's role. THat's nothing to do with her looks. And, in the film, she looks quite nice. Not stunning, but nice.
But in this interview she was pigosauros. EWWW. Apart from her face being so shiny from make up practically all you could make out were the reflections of the studio lights, her hair. OMG her hair.

Now those of you who have read my perv posts may know that the 1 thing guaranteed to attract me to a woman is long hair. I am, you might say, a long hair conniouseur (You might also say, I am in need of a spell-checker). Anyway, I've never seen long hair so stomach-churningly grim before. She had it all swept over one side of her head. Oh ..... dear. Words cannot describe how manky she looked. Although I've had a go at trying, just to convey my heartfelt repulsion to someone considered by many of the guys on here as a 'bit of a babe'.

Now I understand it's not possible for women to look 100% 100% of the time. But really, if on TV, with specialists at your beck and call, you can do better than that....

</RANT>

On a slightly funnier note, Orlando did admit to keep lifting up her dress to see what underwear Elves had

Sorry, for arriving so late to the thread, Lords, Ladies, and Bropous

Ioreth just allowed me to leave the houses of the healing. They thought I had succumbed to the Black Breath. However, I was in morbid shock that the homeliest creature in Arda was going to play Arwen.

Quote:

I would go quite that far. But I work in KSA, so even seeing a woman is a rare experience. So, I'd still fawn over her if she were here.

Quote:

I'd drop the quite part.

For EW. Do you older guys and gals recall James Earl Jones character in the 1st Conan movie? Thulsa Doom. EW has those same mesmering eyes. And that is not a compliment.

I feel if I saw him in person I'd be saying, " Yes master what is thy bidding"

The dudes got a neck that would make Henry Rollins neck look like Gollum.

Star Polish there is NOTHING dull about brown eyes.

They are the color of the Earth. The well spring from which life grows. The color of the towering mountains, that apprehend the firmament... Besides I've my own pair of deep brown eyes so you are definately in the company of superiors.

As for twat and twit. I think it is lingiustic shift. The elder form ( sounds like something form White Wolf Games) meant a vulgar form of female body parts. But it has moved into the twit area with the younins.

In a way like the saying 'IT SUCKS'. It means that something is really bad; however, the orginal meaning is something different.
I'll refrain from elaberating further on my thoughts in this
.
However, I work with some Brits here and as they say "we are are seperated by a comman language."

Do to the sheer dominance of US culture (via Hollywood etc) Am E is the major form of English as far as comprehension is concerned.

Anyway the point being that twat for my British cohorts has the older form of the word as the primary form. But some word have very different meanings. Fanny for Americans means BUM, but for Brits it means the orginal form of twat.

Arathorn love your signature. Is your first language Tagalog or English. Is Tagalog completely indegenious or does it have strong Spanish influences?

BTW I think EW is a good Frodo.

I dont' know, I've always thought my eyes were dull. Probably because I also have 'olive' skin and brown hair...pretty monotonous. I am a great lover of all things in nature, but I prefer to look up instead of down. Blue, green, gold, red.

I know, I know. ::shrug:: It's just my preference I guess. But eyes aren't what I'd go on to actually have a relationship with someone. BUT, since it's unlikely I'll ever have a relationship with a movie star, let alone one six/ten years older than me, I can fawn on about their looks.
BOING!

I"m not knocking it, I AM that! I mean, I find Orlando Bloom attractive, and he's got all those assets...I dunno. I liked him with his blonde wig though.

I'm still hung up on this neck thing. Elijah's neck doesn't look odd to me. Though some pictures I've seen of him have just been...odd. Not that I don't have a few of those myself

Your'e entitled to your own opinion I suppose.

It's the wrong opinion of course but still.

I do kinda see what you mean though.

Me and my friend have debated tons wheter Elijah Wood is fat or not.

He does'nt seem it but in the FotR his neck seems to splurge out a lot!

I shall now go and hire a body gusrd goodbye!

Bick neck?! HAH! I spend 3 days a week around people with necks way bigger than that!...mainly my Kickboxing trainer..but then he's like 6'2 and totally ripped.

..I think Elijah's neck looks fine. its a tad big, but not outragiously so..course then it oculd just be his head is small...or something...I'v never seen him in person so I wouldnt know. Either way I still think he's quite good looking.

LOL . He can at times make your eyebrows go above your hairline but if he's in red, green, blue,or that pretty brown he has in lotr and white words cannot describe how...mmmmmm.
Like I've said many times, his personality goes far beyond his apperance or so I've read. He's a COOL guy and that's all there is to it. But I do like his eyes and his smile.

And the laugh *sigh*. And the shoulders *louder sigh*. And he's so cute when his face is all smudged and he's upset. *loudest sigh yet*

Oh I forgot his voice and that laugh is just adorable. I think that he is at his BEST at the party. He has the dark hair and the DARK blue eyes. And he SMILES!That's the best part is when he smiles. Not that sad smile but that big grin. CUTE!
He's gonna have alot of women in the ROTK audience sobbing their eyes out when he's in Mordor and when he's at the Grey Havens. *SIGH*

I TOTALLY agree about the party! (whoa, valley girl moment) When he's dancing . . . awwwww, he's so cute! And his eyes are shining and his cheeks are red and he's smiling and smiling and then I end up smiling and laughing just because he's so cute!

ditto me!u don`t know me well but i am massive elijah fan!i love the party scene too!and where he's listening to bilbos speech and his eyes are all lit up and lovely!
also at the end where he turns around to sam and goes "i'm glad you with me" he has THE cutest little smile on his face!*sighs*(i sigh a lot btw)
just a note about his neck-it only looks slightly large when he's been stabbed and is dying so he can be excused for not looking at his best don't u think?

no offense meant to all EW fans, EW is very attractive...though he did have a weird sort of wimpy looking expression on his face most of the time in the movie.

Ack! Evenstar, your signature is making me cry! That quote always does that to me . . . "Don't go where I can follow" *sniff*. As for EW's "wimpy expression", well, *to the tune of "Just a Girl" by No Doubt* he's just a Hobbit in the world . . . that's all that they'll let him be . . . just a Hobbit in the world . . .

Eh? What? I've just come into this thread now...at it's end...reading through the posts a comment from Gerbil:
'...I hate the English more...'
*draws a broadsword hanging at his belt and dons his English red-coat outfit*
I'm English...what's wrong with the English?
*keeps hand on broadsword*
Be careful how you answer...

'ey there chap, calm down now. There's NOTHIN' wrong with the British. If I may say so I think they 'ave a MUCH more elegant way of doin' things than the Americans. I love America an' all tha' but I just like England,Ireland an' Scotland alot better. Please don' kill anyone.
