Very pretty! The paper enhances the writing and makes everything look sort of professional.

Thanks I'm actually on the hunt for papers now... not much success, though. (It seems they go along the lines of kittens and Disney figures. Ack.)

And, as a contrast to those "professional" ones, here's a random thing - ballpoint pen and boring lecture

Righto, another try... Humble attempt with Photoshop. Or was it Photostudio? Anyway.

Why doesn't it work with the img-tag? It is small! Arright, link then.
EDIT: duh, silly me. No img-tag in this forum.

*hums* we still remember, we who dwell... in this far land beneath the trees...

Another thing included into EDIT: *blushes* Thanks, Katya

very nice, la! Keep 'em coming!

*wishes she could get her stupid scanner working again*

(ps - what can we call you for short? "la" could be kind of confusing, and I"m too lazy to type out your full name - maybe something like Addy?)

Hroom, yes, I think I'll bump this thread now and again... Happy thing that dad has a brand-new, beautifully working scanner - honestly, when I scan something, it looks better than in RL.

(re ps - Addy is fine. Though I answer to LA as well... GW started to call me that, IIRC.)

I think this would be a perfect place to note that I believe you've made a mistake in your Tengwarin name, RÃ*an.

If you're doing it in Quenya, you should have an "R" with the tehta for "i" over it, but then you should have that character like an "i" without the dot, with the tehta for "a" over that, then the "n". This is because, as I am sure you are aware, the vowel signs are always placed over the preceeding consonant, where possible, or otherwise over that dotless "i" character.

In other words both your vowel signs need to be bumped back one, unless "RÃ*an" is ... oh. It's Sindarin, isn't it? My bad. Somehow I must have got "RÃ*el" in my head.

Quenya just rocks ^^

Nevermind being late Btw, do you write Tengwar? or some other ME-writing?

Recently, I'm trying to figure out Sarati. Am progressing. 'Tis much more phonetical than Tengwar; but beautiful-looking anyway.

Well, maybe it's never late But s/he quoted a post which is a couple of... years(?) old. But I responded, in case s/he plans coming back, to find out if s/he is interested in Tengwar.

(Btw, this thread is nearing 1000! )

Okay, obsession-time.

I spent half a day until I got this. Something must be wrong with me, considering what time and effort I put in such things...

Oh, and some Sarati too.

And before you overestimate my abilities, no, I'm not memorizing all this, Tengwar is enough. I just printed cheat sheets to *counts... loses track* well, many types of writing systems, and try to figure out if I can write those too.

Would saying your extraordinarily talented be overestimating your abilities? Because you really are . I could never do that and any attempt wouldn't even come close to what you've done. You should give yourself more credit .

BTW, I noticed your post from today is almost exactly 24 hrs from your last one. Was that planed?

*blushes* Thank you. I'm really getting into this writing-with-calligraphy-pen thing.

(What i don't like in myself is that I can't draw. It's really annoying when I have an image in my head that would totally fit to the writing, and I just can't do it... So, geometric shapes, or the help of computer programs. )

You should befriend an artist and let them create the images to your writing and then put them together. It worked for Stan Lee .

Since we took this one over 1000, I'm splitting off recent posts into a new thread.

Closing.
