Neil Young. My god, this man is amazing! How can someone remain consistently good, while not changing their style at all?! And his music is so good, I can't even choose favourite songs!

Old Neil! His guitar solos get me yelling (TURN THAT DOWN!) my husband likes to tease me with it. I love his melodic stuff like Cinnamon Girl and Down by the River. Like a Hurricane is nice too. I saw him when he did the Farm Aid here in Indy, his guitar solos made me scream! I faintly remember seeing him with Linda Ronstadt back in 1972, but they were playing together and it was second bill to someone else, dang if I can remember. I really upped my opinion of old Neil when I read about his handicapped son. He's going to be on the new Farm Aid this month I believe, I guess you don't get CMT (Country Music Television) in New Zealand?

Some good choices there, Radagast.

"The Crystal Lake" and "So You'll Aim Toward the Sky" by Grandaddy. Absolutely brilliant!

Sunny Side of the Street.

Hey, about Neil Young: I saw him in concert in the 80's -- very enjoyable. As far as his style, I recently saw something about him that upped my opinion of him, too. I guess he got sick of the record companies trying to force him into "formula" albums (this was many years ago), so he put out a country album and also a rockabilly style album, which made the record cos. angry. I thought that was great!

I remember that! The company was mad cause his album "Trans" wasn't "rock" enough. (It was his comment on how difficult it is to be handicapped {his son has serious communication problems} in a world filled with "normal" people).... anyway, He did the rockabilly one, (we have it, it's pretty good!) as an answer to the stupid marketing suits at his record label, here.... is this Rock-n-Roll enough for you? Neil's always been into country!

Okay, I have 2 new favorite songs, both are by Josh Groban. One is Let Me Fall, and the other is Starry, Starry Night (about the Van Gogh painting. Very beautiful). does anyone listen to him?
