I don't know what it means in Britain, but in the States, it's a vulgarity.

I believe that. A few years back, a pastor from Missouri spoke at my church, and he used a word that on the east coast is considered a locker-room type of vulgarity, but obviously not so everywhere.
And, NO, I'm not going to tell you what word it was.

Hey, I am not a Brit and I knew what it meant! But it isn't used a whole lot around these parts at all. Mostly it seems a new discovery to people. I hope it stays that way.....lol. Actually, twit isn't used a whole lot anyway. So, I tend to make up words or use words that are sort of known, but not how I use them. Like, for instance, goomba.

"Pippen is such a goomba."

Sorry to be OT. Here, let me fix it. Wood has really beautiful eyes.

My personal insult which no-one I know uses apart from my flat mate and his wife is calling people a ming-mong. Or just a ming, or a mong. It's a great general purpose phrase, and fits into lots of things like songs really well.

EG:

Minging along, minging this mong,
Minging in a winter wonderland

etc.

Also, I can, on occasion, be heard to exclaim 'chuffing chug-nuts' when outright obscenity may be inappropriate.

And as for FF fancying shoulders, it's just a female thing. Men perfer bums or chests. Most guys I know go for chests, but I prefer bums. Dunno why, they are just sexy.

But a man fancying shoulders? EWWW! The only way that would work is if they fancied women off Dallas and Dynasty with their hooooooooooooge padded jackets

I've never had a rodent. But I used to keep a gerbil cage in my closet in hopes of someday getting one . . .

Awww everyone should look after a pet rodent at some point.
So cute!

When I was at university my hamster had the run of my bedroom.
I basically went over it with a fine-tooth comb when I first moved in checking there were no wires, holes, poisionous thingies on the floor etc. And then simply let him run loose. Was so cool to hear the little pitter-patter of his feet. I used to move his food around occasionally so he had to go out scouting. Was so sweet

We have rats all the time. But we start bringing out the sticky paper when the carton and plastic food packages begin to turn up holes.

When I was a kid, I had a cat and a hamster. One day, my brother left the hamster cage open, and Squeaky got out. He was eaten by the cat. From that moment on, I only had a cat.
