He just puts a lot of effort and character into whoever he is playing.
I really liked him in What´s eating Gilbert Grape too. He´s also in Donnie Brasco and Ed Wood, but I never saw them(yet).

Ah, Edward Scissorhands. One of my fav movies! It´just so lovely and strange!

I agree tottaly. I loved him in Edward Scissorhands. It is such a great movie eventhough it is really 'strange' as Lotiel said. I still have not seen, What's eating Gilbert Grape, but it sounds good. I also liked him in Once Upon a Time in Mexico. Oh, Soo HOT!

Yah, Sean Penn did deserve something for hois role, but it is not fair that comedians are never awarded! They always do the best part and are the audiences favourite characters!!

What did Robin Williams win an oscar for?

My favourite actor of the moment is Brion James. He played Leon in Blade Runner. He died in 1999 unfortunately.

http://www.bladezone.com/contents/fi...ast/james.html

He looks so cool without the moustache (or the beard, whatever he had in Blade Runner), don't you think?

Another one of my actors of the moment is Dolph Lundgren. His acting may not have won any oscars, but I think 80's action icons have their own special quality. He probably would have been Hitler's idea of a wet dream too. 6' 6", blond, energetic, musclebound, and brainy (he has degrees coming out of his ears).

I believe he won his Oscar in the Best Supporting Actor category for "Good Will Hunting" but I can't remember the year. (I'm sure other more gifted movie trivia buffs will let me know if I'm wrong about this...) Another comic actor that won an Oscar in the Best Supporting Actress category is Whoopi Goldberg for "Ghost."

Current favorite actors for me: Billy Boyd (OK -- he's cute), Sean Connery (I can't stay away from those Scots!), Harrison Ford, and the late James Stewart. There are others, but I can't think of them right now.

I don't have many favorite actors (or actresses, for that matter), but I do have one: Harrison Ford! Star Wars: Episode IV, Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Temple of Doom, The Last Crusade, Air Force One, and The Fugitive; what's not to love?

There have been some really good actors mentioned but I can't believe nobody mentioned John Wayne! Okay I'm kind of strange but he is one of my favorite actors.

Sean Penn, and I seem to look forward to anything with Christian Bale in it.

That's because you look like those two! I have seen your hazy photo; seriously you DO resemble them.

I'll take your word for it. I struggle to see the resemblance, but I might be looking in the wrong mirror.

Sean Penn I like because he's a brilliant actor IMO. He always steals the scene. Bale, because he kicked ass in American Psycho and Equilibrium. I don't think much of comic book movies. Bale will always be Feanor to me.
