I could also sell my "Mummy" DVDs to get the money. FOTR's definiely worth those 2.

Definitely. worth more, in my opinion

Anyone seen the trailers for Scorpion King? Doesn't look as funny as Mummy and Mummy Returns. They're trying to be serious, it doesn't work.

Scorpion King opens here in Manila tomorrow!

BTW, I do hope they put in the TTT trailer in the FOTR DVD. I still haven't seen it in it's full-color non-flickering glory.

My plan is to buy the special directors cut of the VHS version or if I'm sucessful at nagging my Mum for a DVD player, I will get the directors cut DVD. I reckon they should put some more features on the VHS version, such as interviews cause many people don't have DVD players.
The official LOTR's movie site has all the details on the DVD.

Well, you know they do that so that people will buy DVD players. Think about it, very few people would have started buying them if they didn't have something extra to offer, since most people were happy with VCRs and couldn't afford to replace all of their cassettes w/ DVDs. It's just so the companies can make more money. Laser discs fell flat, so they did this so that wouldn't happen again. In another 10 or 20 years they'll have some new technology so that everyone will have to buy that. They find ways of making us spend. I think they have technology to eventually replace CDs with something the size of a stamp, but have to figure a way to package it -- people love their liner notes too much to give them up!
