Eminem has made some very good songs. I like "Lose yourself" a lot (for which he received an Oscar for best soundtrack) and "Stan" is a masterpiece.

yes jonathon, but the only singing on the song stan is by dido, and the song itself (minus eminem's stoopid talking over the music bits) was written by someone else

I know that. What's best about "Stan" is not Dido's singing (which is good!) but the lyrics that Eminem wrote (lyrics that tell an interesting and tragic story). Dido's singing fits really well in between Eminem's "stoopid talking".

people need someone to hate as much as they need someone to love. eminem just fills this spot for some. i like all types of music from country to heavy metal and to call "all rap crap" is the same as saying "all metal is just noise". its like when someone says all rappers talk about is sex,murder,and girls is the same as saying all metal bands talk (scream) about are satan, witches, and depresion, or all country is about drinking beer and driving trucks. it may be true that some involved in those types of music do talk about those things but to through out an entire genre as unlistenable is crazy. could you imagine a world where we all had to listen to the same music? talk about depresion..
