It's pretty obvious why most girls like him and I must admit that he is nice to look at, but I also love archery (my favorite sport) and his little dagger things were awesome as well. He kicked booty in the most graceful way. It's also the elf thing, everybody loves elves. Plus he was clean, didn't have hairy feet (I hate feet!) and wasn't Gimli. I love Boromir just as much though and think he is just as good-looking and Aragorn was pretty hot too.

I agree with what Christiana said, she admires his abilities. GSkilled fighter, can walk on top of snow, that is so cool!
I think he is good-looking and acted well, but personally I think that Elijah Wood is the best looking. BTW---I am new here...HI!

I think he's funny looking. Personality wise, he seems okay though. Isn't he supposed to be vegetarian?

Elves
The Prince of Mirkwood was my favorite character even before I saw the movie. I love Elves anyway and I was excited to the Peter Jackson' enterpritation of one. Thw walig o snow thing was kool and so was Legolas' archery skills.

I have many friends who are in total love with Orlando Bloom/Legolas. I really think I'm the only one who has actually read the books! He is one of my more favored characters (he he big understatement) But he was my favorite before I even knew the movies were even being filmed. My friend don't believe me when I say that. (These are the same friends who made fun of me for reading the book in the first place)

For me I like Legolas's fighting style as much or more then his looks. He moves fast and with deadly accuracy but smoothly and quietly, it's like he wasn't even there one second. It's neat.
As for his looks...that adds up to his charm, but I myself like Claenoic am a hobbit fancier (what's with the pervy stuff? Joke on me?) and as such I dont really pay attention to the other Fellowship members. But I do have to agree that Orlie was the PERFECT canidate for Legolas. Sam ps. Welcome Eleniel...enjoy the peace while you may. pps. *glowers at the other posters who ignored Eleniels comment*WELLLLL!

Welcome, Eleniel.
I agree with you about Elijah, the perfect hobbit. I bought The Official Movie Guide, and it's touching what Orlando says about getting the role: "It was like winning the lottery! Like having all your dreams fulfilled! It was amazing!" It's nice that he felt that way about it. So he doesn't have much character yet -- he's a kid trying to play a 2931 year old person. That can't be easy. |

Aggy>Leggy
I find Aragorn much more attractive than Legolas, especially when you compare the actors.

Legolas is what 600? Aragorn is only 90. So I guess girls like responsible older men. Interestingly Elijah Wood doesn't play well as a fifty year old, or even a 50 year old who's supposed to look thirty.

Well, 33 in hobbit years is similar to 18-21, and Elijah was what, 19, when they started filming?

Was it on frodo's 50th or 33rd birthday when LOTR began? Markedel seems to say he was 50 and starr polish seems to be saying he was 33... it was on milestone year, though i can't remember because 33 was the coming of age and 50 was the age of bilbo when he set out on his journey... somehow I seem to remember it either way?

It started with his coming of age, and then he set out when he was 50 (some years after the birthday celebrations. )

If he is a vegetarian, then he is OK. I don't like him that way, but he was fine as Legolas. I think I read somewhere that women prefer soft, baby features in men, so thats probably why there are lots of fan girls out there. He was actually doing a movie shoot near where I live (some Ned Kelly movie), but I missed seeing him!
