Anduril=magic glowing sword. Half the people i know who have read lotr say anduril does glow. the other half say the glowing,gleaming,shineing is just a metaphor.Well i believe it does glow,and it has nothing to do with ELVES ELVES ELVES.Narsil/Anduril was forged by Telchar the greatest dwarf craftesman in middle earth history.Does everyone one forget that the dwarves made magical items,weopons,and armour too,not just elves.Now Narsil was not made for an alarm systen when orcs were near like Glamdring,Orcrist and sting(all elven made).It was made to strike fear into the servents of morgoth,because it glowed with the the light of the sun in sunlight,and the light of the moon in moonlight.Now no sunlight or moonlight shining down on the blade=NO GLOW.It did have the power of pure fire from time to time like in moria,but just a split second flash of flame.
