I've got My Space. I started it up just so friends could view/take photos I put up there. Now I've started using it as a way of writing trivial stuff for MSN contacts to see - I love reading friends' blogs and having my own, but I'm not going to give everyone the URL for my real blog, so I use My Space. I've set the permissions so that only certain people can view it - no random losers.
Btw, I don't know if there's a 'craze' about it here as such, but a lot of people have it, primarily to share photos. Edity-edit: I use a different type of My Space, since mine's the MSN messenger one. A lot of people have 'Hi 5' (or 'Friendster maybe) here, which is like the type of My Space you guys have. I don't know why I still have it - I just started it to see what the fuss was about (my inbox was flooded with hi5 invites) and then I just added RL friends...and said stuff you to randoms who tried to add me, saying we could be friends. Yeah. Okay. Anyway I don't actually use it. I think a lot of people do to see how many hundreds of friends they have to show off. Last edited by Linaewen : 05-03-2006 at 09:32 AM. |

I had a myspace once upon a time but I deleted it when I started being bothered by people I didn't really wanna talk to (people I know in RL, not just random myspace kids). And I thought it was kind of lame. The shameless self-promotion thing just did nothing for me. And I am becoming more of a private person. I still have a facebook account though.

i don't think of it as self-promoting... i use it more to keep in touch with friends than for any other reason. i also like decorating my profile!!!
