Oh yeah! *slaps forhead*

Yes... so anyway, funny that one actor did the same two voices, of characters that had dialogue together.

John Rhys-Davies did Treebeard and Gimli, but they don't speak in the movie. Or did they? The movie really confuses me, even though I re-read the book only a few weeks ago!

Lawrence Makoare also played Lurtz i think, i got so excited because he also played Grunt in What Becomes of the Broken Hearted... Andy Serkis did a few of the orcs voices in TTT....

Hey, it's on cable (AMC?) this Friday. I just watched it again not long ago. *tries to picture Aragorn fighting orcs with a chainsaw and a shotgun.*

Seems like there were some other allusions, but...

The one scene with Aragorn and Arwen in FotR looks just like an old painting of Arthur and Guenevere

#1) I was thinking the exact same thing when I watched the movie.
#2) He sounded a hell of a lot like Dr. Claw from Inspector Gadget.
#3): I also thought he looked like the Goonies freak too much. He didn't look like an Orc at all.

He should've been dark-skinned IMO, all the other Uruks and Orcs were. Did his momma procreate with an Elf or man, is that why he's so light-skinned?

Dont tell me what I cannot do

Two men are on a Island, they both see a "monster", one sees a bright light, and the other sees a dark cloud

My name bares no reference to the music artist.

Gollum Hey Durin1...

Why'd you think Gollum's voice was terrible?? I think it was right on especially when he coughs and makes that "Gollum" sound...just the way I imagined it to be even when I was reading the books...

Actually, I thought many of the scenes between Arwen and Aragorn in Rivendell reminded me of the paintings of Maxfield Parrish. (He was a very popular artist in the mid-twentieth century. He was famous for idealized scenes of fairies and such and was noted for his use of a particular shade of blue in the skies he painted, which became known as "Parrish blue.")

Has anyone else noticed the similarity?
