Getting really weird messages from a friend, which lead me to believe he's going through an emotional breakdown related to some very messy issues from his past. Pray for him.

Please pray for my Dad (82) who had an operation yesterday. They changed the joint of his knee, and it went well - but, as has happened before, he felt fine at first, but then his blood pressure dropped dangerously. The doctor will have seen him last night, but we won't know until later what he has found, if anything.
Please pray that his blood pressure will become normal again and that he will recover.

I just was told that what he had, was a heart attack. I just spoke to him, and he's very tired, but he's in hospital and they're checking up on him and giving him blood-thinning medication. So he's in good hands - and we can only hope and pray that it will turn out all right. Thank you for your prayers.
Unfortunately, then he'll have trouble with getting his training after his knee surgery - but my step-mother says that we'll just have to take one day at a time.

Say a prayer for my dad, please. He got fired on Wednesday for the first time ever in his life (they are changing the title of his position, and didn't feel like he was a good fit for it any more).
Thus far he's filed for unemployment aaaaaaand.... that's about it. He seems very nonplussed about the whole thing and apparently stated to my mother that he's "sure he's not going to find a job this summer," because he's convinced they're all taken. However, he refuses to do things to cut costs like canceling the cable bill or other things. *sigh* |
