Hang in there, Rian.
Actually I would appreciate your prayers as well that I make the right, moral choice in the next coming days. I have a decision in front of me and I know what I want, but I'm genuinely not sure what the right thing to do is. |

Thanks GW... Sometimes I'm not so sure I do make the right decisions. This is something rather important though, so I am trying to make the right choice.

Oh. my. God. .....
I can't believe this. He is doing it again. The man i love is doing it again. Sending me messages saying this isnt going to work out. What was that this Christmas, then? I am in love, is he? What was all that, then? I have nothing to go on to. I have nothing to live for now. God has abandoned me.

Voronwen, I am sorry that you are having such a difficult time. But you have to keep in mind that if you place all of your hope for happiness in earthly things, you will find yourself disappointed every single time. Put your trust in God, pray, and don't believe that the lack of something earthly means a lack of something divine. God has not abandoned you.

Oh, Vor, I'm so sorry to hear about that! :hugs: Find your strength in yourself, and in those whom you can know will always care for you and be there for you. Sometimes, when we think something is going to work out, we don't quite factor enough fallen humanity into the equation, and we put ourselves out further than other people are willing to support us. And remember, God never abandons us; it is in the very valley of the shadow of death that we truly find God, when we plunge into the depths of despair that God really finds us.
Praying.

Back off, devil! Back off of my Soulmate. Leave him! You cannot have him, He is a child of God! You may think you stole him but you cannot have him! I demand him back, release him! In Jesus' Name!

Good luck, Elleth. Many prayers for your academic and misc. success.
I am potentially entering into a relationship with someone. I've always felt that God is very "active" in my life. I don't feel abandoned, like I know a lot of men in my situation do. I don't get into moral decisions just because I want them, I do them (or refrain from doing them) because I feel that it's the right thing to do. After a lot of research and consideration, not to mention prayer, I've decided that I'm going to give this a shot. I figure that if I continue to pray for guidance to do the right thing maybe I'll actually do the right thing after all... What it boils down to is that if I am really convinced that I'm doing something wrong, I'll stop... regardless of whether it makes me happy or not. I always have, and I intend that I always will. I try to be a man of strong moral and ethical character, and that's something I pray for every day. So I would appreciate prayers that I'll do the right thing. I already have a couple of people fervently praying that I'll wake up one day and not be a homo/disappointment. So we have that angle covered. I'll feel more appreciative of general "do the right thing," prayers. At this point I have little to no interest in what people want me to do with my life, because everyone wants me to do something either slightly or vastly different... and for that matter I'm fairly sure I've seen just about every argument for and against in existence. So at this point I'm going to stick to what always works for me... pray for guidance from God and see what happens. |

I hope you can see that there's a lot of uncharted territory in this area, and there's no need to take up any particular path in its entirety. We are in fairly exceptional circumstances, which often call for unusual and creative responses. God bless you, Tess. I'll be praying for guidance, for discernment, for growth in your walk with God, and for fulfillment. I hope you know I'm always available to talk.

prayers for all ... and Voronwen: Tessar and Gwai said it very well. You are NOT abandoned.
I'm learning to seek God, instead of trying to avoid pain. Even Jesus cried over relationships, because he loved.

Thank you, Rian.
Through the prayers and godly counsel of two very close friends IRL whom i consider like a brother and a sister, i've come to realize that perhaps this man was not my Soulmate, anyway (well, i'm sure the real thing out there could use the prayers, too!), though i did love him. There was too much amiss. He was not the one i am waiting for that will be sent by God. He was an imposter. It's a wonderful thing to find Christian fellowship even online on a common interest forum. I love you guys!

God is your soulmate, Voronwen but we'll keep praying that you'll find a wonderful teammate for your journey here on earth. Don't put the pressure of "soulmate" on a human - you'll both be disappointed. But a wonderful fellow traveller, with many wonderful parts along with some warts, is a blessing.
And I agree about the online thing - there's real people on the other side of the screen! (well, mostly, at least )

Tess, that sounds courageous and lovely! I hope you'll be happy with the decisions you make. Of course I'll remember you in my prayers.
Voronwen, what everyone else said I hope you'll find someone to share your path with you for a while and with whom you can be happy without having to hold back or feel held back on.
