Alright well i think the chancelor is the Emperor, they pretty much give it away in the latest trailer with the voice and his dialogue. I think he tricked Amedala to making him chancelor in Episode 1 and now he takes over with the clone army which he starts with Jango Fett(boba fetts father). Christopher Lees part also looks kind of important, not to sure about him. Looks like we should be i nstore for some good light saber fights and i cant wait to see sam jackson wield a light saber. What do you guys thinK?

I kinda figured that the Chancellor turns out to be the Emperor after I saw Ep. 1. (Unless Palpatine is a common name in that galaxy far, far, away) And the light-saber battles should be epic.

*Slight Apoiler Alert (it's in the trailer)*
If you've seen the newest trailer, the Chanchellor being the Emperor is obvious. It looks like the plot will be very complicated however, something about a Seperatist movement (can you say Civil War?) and the creation of the Stormtroopers and Star Destroyers. There will definately be a huge lightsaber battle.

As I recall, the debates at the time of Ep. I's release didn't question whether Chancellor Palpatine was the Emperor. The question was whether or not he was Darth Sidious.

How do you think Anakin and the Chancellor will end up going to the Dark Side? And what happens to Darth Sidious? I had forgotten about him.

I saw through the Palpatine-emperorthing right away. But I did miss the whole hide-Amidala-theme. I think the Darth Sidious part was pretty straightforward. He had emperor written all over him (well that's the way it seemed to me) They have the same kind of chin (well well now that's a convinving argument

)

Of course he is Darth SIdious. Have you seen the guy? It's the same actor.

Anakin goes to the dark side with something concerning his mother. I think Sidious was going to kill her or something. Palpatine is already on the Dark side. How he got there is another matter altogether.

And by the way, Boba Fett's name wasn't always that. I can't remember what it was, but I'll look it up. Now there's a flaw. If Fett wasn't always his name, why is it his father's name? Hmmm.
