Top Five Favorites:

1) Finrod: Loyal to a fault, but wise enough to see where such behavior was going to lead inevitably. He walked the walk when it came time to keep his word, and hey, he was awesome enough to burst out of his bonds and then wrestle a werewolf to death barehanded, after just going ten rounds in a close spell-duel with Sauron. The only Noldor confirmed to have been pardoned instantly of the Curse after dying in Middle-Earth.

2) Fingolfin: Love him for the same reasons as one of the previous posters. He kept his cool and stayed true to himself even when dealing with a punk like Feanor provoking him. Raw determination personified, but canny enough not to make the mistakes that Feanor and his sons did when it was their turn to roll down into Middle-Earth and smite orcs right outside Angband. The only non-Vala other than Turgon who caused Morgoth actual fear, AND the guy to call The Big Bad Valar out to duel. C'mon, he nailed Morgoth seven times before being brought down. Pretty good when you consider his opponent. I just like the way he handled himself.

3) Galadriel: One of the only female Noldor to really step up when everything was going to the dogs in Valinor. She realized her ambition to rule a fair kingdom of her own, AND she was smooth enough to be one and only Rebel Noldo to stick it out the full Three Ages before retiring to Valinor. Wise, beautiful, courageous yet compassionate.

4) Finarfin: Proof that the Noldor weren't all incapable of admitting when they were wrong/taking a new path after beginning on another. I admire the REASON that Finarfin forsook the march of the Noldor. He wasn't afraid of the Curse, he truly felt they'd all gone too far and he wasn't going to run from the consequences of that. You know that decision had to kill him inside, knowing it meant leaving his sons to the folly their loyalty had drawn them into.

5) Luthien. For all the obvious reasons. She gave up eternal bliss for true love, and stuck it out through thick and thin with Beren. The origin of the saying "Behind every great Man is a Woman", something she learned from Mama Melian.
