Yes, important points and I agree.

Dear 'Moot,
Okay, here's the deal. One day a week, I work a couple hours later than normal. I'm toying with the idea of having a bloody mary in the morning before work those days. But I have to admit. I'm a bit iffy about pre-noon drinks. So, it boils down to this: Would having a bloody Mary at, say, 8 or 9 AM once a week make me an alcoholic? Sincerely, Sauced

No, I just like bloody mary's, but they're really more of a morning drink, so I don't have them often. This seemed like it could be a good opportunity.

Dear Moot,
I have a "wife" who refuses to watch Batman & Robin. What should I do?! ()

Hug her and ask nicely?
But maybe you shouldn't put your marital problems out to dry?

Ah, but the reason its a morning drink is its better in the morning. The vodka in it is a real waker-upper.

I'm a librarian. Few lives would be endangered. Maybe a biography or two.

Yeah, I'm gonna vote a nix on that one. Don't have a drink because you think it 'wakes you up' .

I was joking about the wake-up thing. It's just something that's traditionally drunk in the morning. Also, I hate vodka normally, so I never have it around. The only way I would would be something like this Bloody Mary Thursday. As a consequence, it's the only way I would have a Bloody Mary, except those rare occasions when I find myself to be at a bar, for some reason or other.

Id call it a brunch drink (or a hang over drink) rather than a "morning" drink. But hey once a week is fine. Theres very few things better then a really well done bloody mary (and nothing worse than a really bad one - especially when it costs $7 or $8!). Just be watchful it doesnt creep into 10 times a week or something. Im more partial to drinking when its day light out myself. When its night I may have a beer or some wine with dinner but its just not the same as having a nice cold drink outside somewhere while the sun is still rising.

Be careful taking advice about "good" beer from that canadian. As I recall she puts Coors and Molsen in that category. Until she backpeddeled and called them "drinkable but not good".
