Sacrifices
Okay, I did a quick search and didnt see anything that looked like this (but, mods and admins, if there is something feel free to just delete this thread). This thread is about the sacrifices you make for whatever it is you do or like to do. Whether it is physical, monetary, emotional etc. Go ahead and share it, I'm sure there would be some interesting stories to be heard.
Mine: For me, I've gone through quite alot for my love of the sea: I've been stung (as some of you know) over 100% of my body's surface by jellyfish, and twice now by mn-o-war. I've been stung by sea urchins, chased by barracuda, been washed up against a solid rock formation (almost having to have major surgury for it), and I lost the hearing in my left ear when SCUBA diving. Also I've spent quite alot of time away from my family. A somewhat long list, but I'd bet some are longer. Let's hear 'em!

I was swimming from the reef to the boat on the first one and got to the boat, the next time I was swimming very close to shore and one made a pass by me at some fish I was tailing, but nearly took my hand off, but since I was close to te shore, I was able to get up the beach. And the final time I was swimming from an island to a boat and got to the boat and looked down, and there was a 4 footer hovering just beneath me.
But let's here some other people's stories!

Haha Tuinor.
I would say I've put a lot into my degree in Forestry. I've spent six years in university - one quarter of my life as of this writing. I've spent a great deal of money on it too - money I don't have, since it's all a student loan. I've worked hard in the summer and sometimes during the term at various jobs to try to mitigate my loans a bit. I've suffered from depression which took quite a toll on my life for a while. But it's worth it, I love Forestry. (And the worst that has stung me was wasps, so I'll take it. There was also a hilarious incident with stinging nettles.)
