Can only 100 people really represent a nation of 300 million diverse people? There's a statistical test for that, but I forget the formula. Le sigh. (Stats book is at school, sorry.)


There is a huge difference between finding random cash and finding someone's wallet. The latter has the person's ID so its easy to track down.

I found someone's wallet and used her driver's licence to find her phone number on the internet, so I could phone her house to tell her I'd left it at campus security.
