3:10 to Yuma

Coming out in 2 weeks, starring Russel Crowe and Christian Bale. What do you think?

Has anyone seen the original with Glen Ford? When I heard they were making a remake, I went and borrowed the original movie. It was pretty good, but mostly just your average 50's western, with some brilliant acting from Ford.

I think this remake looks great from the trailers. The original movie left lots of room for modification and improvment.

What do we think?

I want to see it, I hope its better than Seraphim Falls, that was a terrible western. It should be pretty sweet, Russel Crowe, Christian Bale, can't really go wrong. (I don't think)

Testimony: one of the worst westerns which I've seen was "The Quick and the Dead"...it was one of those movies that though it was 'so cool'...it had lame-O editing tricks, such as: quick close ups whenever one of the characters did some kind of cool smirk . Retarded movie. And Sharon Stone as a sheriff? Somebody pass me the frijoles!

Incidentally there are two movies called "the quick and the dead" the earlier one was with Sam Elliott and was pretty much B average to B+, the other one with Sharon Stone I never watched; looking at the cover was enough to make me (insert a euphemism here).

Think I might have seen that one around too...
Yeah, Sharon Stone...try casting Danny Devito as Batman.

The original was pretty good- not "High Noon", but definitely above average.

Agreed. I liked High Noon a lot better (of course I have a teensy crush on Gary Cooper that bears mentioning ).

Saw the movie yesterday. I liked it a lot. Kudos to director, writer and actors! Amazing stuff. Great remake. I'll probably write a longer review later....

My boyfriend took me to see this Thursday (thank god we have the same tastes in movies ). I absoultly loved it. The acting was the best I've seen in a Western in a long time. Ok High Noon was the last Western I thought was awesome. Hey don't look at me like I'm weird.
The ending kinda sucked with Dan getting killed right when he got to the train. I also think it was funny that Ben killed his whole gang then got on the train haha

I went to see it with my girlfriend twice since it came out. We both really liked it. What I liked about it is it was kinda like Die Hard 4 (Live Free, Die Hard) in one particular way: it didn't try to be anything it wasn't. It was just a really good movie.

I liked the quote in that movie:

"Are you guys some kinda...possie?"

* The guys look at the bad guy, confused perhaps. But then he shoots all of them. *

The bad guy says: "I hate possies."

Yeah, it was the same thing he said in the beginning: "I hate Pinkertons."

The guy that played that character, Charlie Prince, was just fantastic. I don't think there was a bad actor in the bunch. Even that guy... Luke Wilson. He better in his bit-part than I've seen him act in a whole movie.

Looks interesting! I checked it on imdb.com, it's already on the top 250 list, which is really good for a movie so new. But I guess it will be some months 'til I can watch home here in Norway

I got to see it 4 times LoL. That's not quite as bad as when I saw Return of the King 17 times in a matter of a month.
