Sam Gamgee Origins of Hobbitkind

Where do Hobbits come from
I, along with some of my buddies, have made a few theories which I will post after a few replies

When a mommy hobbit and a daddy hobbit love each other very much...

A moral of the whole (after the primary symbolism of the Ring, as the will to mere power, seeking to make itself objective by physical force and mechanism, and so also inevitably by lies) is the obvious one that without the high and noble the simple and vulgar is utterly mean; and without the simple and ordinary the noble and heroic is meaningless." Letters of JRR Tolkien, page 160.

Hobbits are as you might say, 'Evolved' Humans.

First Sugestion:
Hobbits could be Men and Drawfs crossed over
Drawfs=Small, Hole-dwellers
Men=Mortal, look like men, live as long.

And, to bropous, all I say is ... Oh!

Perhaps, oh great white one, it is an elf crossed with a dwarf, who then married a hobbit! Or how about they just appeared

From FOTR Prologue, chapte 1 "Concerning Hobbits"
Quote:
It is plain indeed that in spite of later estrangement Hobbits are relatives of ours: far nearer to us than Elves, or even than Dwarves. Of old they spoke the languages of Men, after their own fashion, and liked and disliked much the same things as Men did. But what exactly our relationship is can no longer be discovered. The beginning of Hobbits lies far back in the Elder Days that are now lost and forgotten. Only the Elves still preserve any records of that vanished time, and their traditions are concerned almost entirely with their own history, in which Men appear seldom and Hobbits are not mentioned at all. Yet it is clear that Hobbits had, in fact, lived quietly in Middle Earth many long years before other folk became even aware of them.
