Gandalf Rotk question

In RotK, didn't Theoden's horse fall on him and kill him when it was attacked by the Lord of the Nazgul?

Nazgul

Ah yes, one of my finest moments.

You're right, Ann. Theoden's horse did cause his death. They actually buried the horse, and wrote these words on the memorial stone:
Faithful servant yet master's bane,
Lightfoot's foal, swift Snowmane.

(in case anyone doesn't know, bane means "cause of one's harm, ruin, or death")

Oh, Foul_Dwimmerlaik...

I get the feeling that the history of Middle-earth would have been very different if only your parents had given you a pony or something...
