Your Place of Perfect Peacefulness
I imagine a logcabin by a mountain lake surrounded by a pine forest.

I don't have to imagine my place of Perfect Peacefulness, because it exists. It's a tiny island off the Swedish west coast, with beaches, trees, open fields, cliffs and a beautiful blue sea. We, my family, have a cottage there.

For me, peace is not so desirable as action or excitement. That I know is largely just me, of course. My place of perhaps perfect excitement would be the time when I experience the best plot for a book coming to my mind. The best ideas, the greatest ideas, the ideas that I'm willing to spend months writing down on paper. When those streaks of brilliance come, my excitement leaps in response .

Truly, I am trying to learn to let it be where I am at the moment. A difficult task. Sort of Zen-ish take on Christ's perfect peace available to believers.

Something along the lines of The Shire in LotR.

My happy place is the beach by the holiday cottages at Onich, near Fort William in Scotland. If you've ever been there, you'd know why. It is peace.

My home. I didn't know how much I needed it until I came away.

where my father grew up. it's in a creek, deep into a fjord, located in mid-Norway. we stay there some weeks in summer, and it is realy lovely. the big mountains on both sides and the ocean infront. it's so peaceful and nice
i wish I was there, when getting tired of the city and the communication today.

I always imagine a countryside with green hills; I'm standing atop one of these hills and there's a small stream running by the side of the hill, down in the distance...*dreamy voice trails away*

This is one of the most peaceful places - this is where I was last weekend - Cape May (not France sorry ).
It's the southern most point in NJ and is where the Delaware River empties into the Atlantic. I would love to have a cabin here.

Riding a horse through green countryside surrounded by majestic purple mountains covered with snow. *sigh*

This beach around the town of Warrnambool in Victoria or these beautiful forests I've been through that had this small waterfall- it was just gorgeous. Lately when I had to do a meditation exercise and picture a garden or something, I pictured Lothlorien. Either of those are wonderfully peaceful.
