Pippin jumped slightly as Diamond burst out of no where. "Where did you come from?" he asked, looking to the bush and then back to her as though answering his own question. "How long have you been there?"

He then realized what exactly it ws they were asking Merry, and he couldn't help but chuckle. "Yes Merry, do tell."

ic: Pansy rolled her eyes at all the flirting eminating from the other hobbits. She cleared her throat. "Ahem, I don't know about all of you but I am hungry." she looked around at the other hobbits, obviously implying that they should invite everyone to their homes for some tea and biscuits. She would sacrifice some carrots for the cause if necesarry. She assumed the scruffy looking hobbit didn't have a home nearby and the other one looked like she was about to head out into some black hole in her mind. "And I think that one," she nodded at the girl. "Might need some rest...or some ale."

"Sure," Paladin said rolling his eyes, and put his rat on his shoulder. "You'll learn to like rats someday," he said, looking at Diamond and then all the others. "Don't use cheese to draw him away. He hates cheese (ooc. I found that true in all hundred or more of the rats I've ever had)."

She fished a cracker out of the front pocket and held it tentatively out to the creatuer perched [on Paladin's shoulder]/[in Paladin's breast pocket] (ooc – which is it??). "If you are looking for board," she said to Paladin, not taking her eyes of the rodent, "My own hole has spare accommodation for those who would seek it." The rat was still only sniffing her offering suspiciously and Estella's gaze ventured from its small, twitching nose to a brief glance at Paladin.

IC: "You carry a rat around?" Pippin said quietly, raising an eyebrow. She shrugged, have met stranger animals as pets than this one. Not to mention the llama. There had been something like a pet weasel a while back that he had seen, but it had disappeared after meeting Gandalf, who at the moment was still talking with the strange deaf woman.

ic. Kieran the rat looked around himself while he sat perching on Paladin's shoulder, then began washing it's face. Then, without any warning, crawled down Paladin's arm and leapt to the ground, and began looking around, but not leaving a three foot limit around Paladin's feet.
"He won't leave. He just looks for something to eat, or at least grind his teeth on," Paladin said. "By the way, does anyone know any Boffins in town this week that are'nt local?"
