Racian Slur????

I am writing a fan fic in which the Easterlings are the villians. Since it is in the heroes (the Gondorian's) perspected, I was going to have them call the Easterlings 'Darkskins', since they have dark skin in the books. Would that be considered a racial slur, since there might be dark people on the forum? Thanks

I think it would be okay in the context of Tolkien. I can't think of how they were referred to in the books off the top of my head, but I think it was always as Haradrim or Easterlings. I suggest play it safe and stick to that.

Good luck with your story.
