Or doesn't know how to work with it...................
Hey, the title of this thread is almost misleading....the term 'fangirl' doesn't lable anyone as an Orlando fan: I'm a fangirl for Merry and Pippin. woooOOOOoooo!!

Are there fanboys for Arwen, Galadriel, and Eowyn?

Isn't there a fanboy thread around somewhere? I can't remember what it's called.

i actually find it disturbing that so many girls can find an effeminate guy with a blonde wig and tights so appealing. it's almost as distubing as men finding women with the physique of a ten year old boy (and high heels) appealing...
and i have to say i object to this whole "fangirl" label... i mean it's so patronising! just because the movie sets are like the playgirl mansion middle earth style... and some of those kiwi boys from weta are fairly easy on the eye too... d'oh! i'd make such a useless femenist - too easily distracted (*aside* i wonder if there really is a playgirl mansion...) |

This is fair to say to some people, but not all. If people have read the books, and care enoph about it to talk about some other charicters, then they don't like OB. But if all they talk about is OB and how cute he is, and squeal when they see a picture of him... then most of the time it's pointless to even talk to them about it.

I'm sorry but I think the best character execution in the movie was Gollum...not Legolas. Admittedly though Orlando Bloom is really hot and made a great Legolas, I was more impressed with the way they did Gollum.
And Galadriel looked just the way I imagined her to be when I first read the books way back when I was a kid. |

well, ya, lotr is not just legolas. but you have to admit that legolas is one of the reasons (well if not one of the primary reasons) why lotr is one of the most-watched films ever.
