Help!!!!
Hi, I got a question.
Do any of you remember when Strider sings or tells the tale of Tinuviel? Have any of you seen the forshadowing in that tale. If you have please email me. I would like to talk to someone about it because it seems to standout in my mind. My email is kittykatnj2003@yahoo.com |

I hope nobody writes your homework paper for you. You will never learn about Lord of the Rings or the technique of foreshadowing if you get other people to write your essays. You will never learn to survive in the world if you solve problems by wimping out and having others take care of you.
As an English teacher's husband I am asking for this thread to be locked, or better, deleted.

Elfhelm, how do you know that the thread starter is trying to be sneaky and get someone to do their homework for them? I must admit though, it is an unusual request. If they wanted to talk about the tale of Tinuviel, and its foreshadowing, they could do it on the board, right?

yeah, right...
Why is it entitled "Help"? Answer because s/he needs help on a paper. Why does s/he give his/her email? To find a sucker to write his/her paper. Why does s/he say "sings or tells"? Because s/he didn't read the passage. What makes me so sure? I have a 16 year old daughter. If s/he wanted to discuss it, there would be no cry for help or email address. Discussion actually takes effort.

Also...
Anyone who has actually read the book wouldn't ask if anyone "remembers" the tale of Tinuviel, as it is one of the more memorable parts of the book (to me it's kind of the same as asking "does anyone remember what happened to the guy who carried the ring?) And the asking specifically about foreshadowing reminds me of many assignments I had to do in high school. |

Yeah, I had a 16 year old once. I think I'm rusty.
You both seem absolutely right though. I am closing the thread.
