I read part of the first NJO book then put it down because I did not like it - I think it was Vector Prime, if memory serves.

I read Shadows of the empire, but i don't remember a guri. oh well ;p

I think i'm gonna go ahead and say that overall the new jedi order books stink and that r.a. salvatore better not write any more sw novels or i'm going to complain to the president of the united states of america that george lucas is letting idiots mess to much with a cultural symbol. would be embarrassing for me, huh? the reason the new jedi order series stink so badly is because the badguys are WAY to powerful. starwars was supposed to be about how life in space is with technology, a realisic take on space life. not about how these really evil aliens come to destroy the universe and everybody dies. the galaxy was supposed to get better not worse. i think they took everything to far.....

One could only hope, because the NJO has already gone much too far.

Poor or mis-characterization, wildly divergent intentions by various authors, lack of cohesion, and an ungodly power inflations spiral are just a few of the things that make the New Jedi Order some of the worst novels I have ever read.

I seem to like questions heres another one in the book called Shadow of the Empire what happened to Guri?
Guri=Xixor's Robot Chick that's Supposedly Almost Human.

The answer is simple:

There must be multiple permanent characters introduced who dissappear for no reason at the end of the novel.

Ditto for all the other "novels" with the Star Wars name on it. Though I suppose there are even more egregious examples of franchise-milking out there... I weep for all the dead trees.
