S. E. Hinton

I really liked the Outsiders and I just finshed reading Taming the Star Runner. I don't know about her other books but it seems like she likes the theme troubled teen who gos good again or something like that. But the characters in those 2 books seemed to have alot in common. Anyone else have thoughts on this writer?

I really liked "The Outsiders" and the sort-of-sequel "That Was Then, This is Now"- the movie with Emilio Estevez was pretty good too.

Of course I read it when I was seventeen- a long, long, long time ago - so could identify, especially with "That Was Then"- drugs just starting to get popular etc,

I'm sorry I can't give you any info about her other books, but I just thought I'd let you know that I read the Outsiders in grade 8 and enjoyed it very much.

I've read both The Outsiders and That Was Then, This is Now, and I loved them both. But I'm upset because I went to look at my copy of The Outsiders and it's missing!
I think she also wrote Tex and another one that I can't remember what it's called (is it Tuff Turf?) (That's why I was looking for my copy of The Outsiders -- it has other books by her listed).
