Tolkien gift

I would just like to mention that it was my birthday party today (although my real birthday went by unnoticed on Monday), and Brewhaha was kind enough to give me the Illustrated Tolkien Encyclopedia as a present.
I would just like to take this opportunity to further thank him for it.
And as of Monday, I'm now...

6 days older.

Doesn't sound right, does it?

BTW

by the way, what's the "promotion" system here? As of now, I've posted 45 posts and I'm still an Enting... wait, I was a Hobbit once... so what is the system?

Re: BTW

It's not by rank, it's by whether you're local or global.

And happy late birthday.

Re: BTW

happy birthday!!

hobbit is local user and enting global user. You must have changed your account from local to global.

other than that, huorns are moderators, and ents are the administrators. there were no other categories available so Ben couldnt make a different one for "cool admins" but we have also some of that

Re: BTW

That's a good question

Moderators can only edit, delete, and move posts.

Administrators have complete power over the board, with all of a moderator's power and more. They can access Entmoot's control center, where they can ban people, change the colors, put up announcements, check the board stats, etc. By starting the board, I automatically became an administrator. The other two administrators we currently have are Darth Tater and anduin. The One Ring and IronParrot are moderators, so they can edit your posts, but not ban you. An inactive moderator we have is Son of a Hutt, but he posts about once every three months these days The former moderator and administrator is Ryan6233.

Thing is, I didn't change my account from local to global... in fact, I can't really do anything in my control center because it won't take my username & password. So maybe someone changed my account for me, I don't know. My account works when I post, though...

Re: ...

Are you sure? I checked, and there's no record of Niffiwan ever being a local user. Brewhaha is a local user, though.

Btw, there will be more title options coming out from ezboard later this month, so the ranking might be re-structured then.

Re: ...

Are you typing in the correct password? Or logging in at the right spot?
