i think it is good he died cuz if he didnt he would have tried to follow frodo and sam and tried to get the ring again. of course my opion is always wrong.

I would rather he lived, if he wasn't still obsessed with the ring. He could have been a big help in the following battles. But, I guess if I think I can do a better job then Tolkien, I should just rewrite the book.
